Letter from Ségalas to Hugo

Scope and Content

Autograph letter to Hugo saying that the writer has submitted her Enfantines for an Academy prize and asking him to speak in her favour to three of the judges, Molé, Mérimée and Lebrun. She regrets not having had the good fortune to hear his address to the Académie Française, but adds that Mme Hugo has hinted to her that she may be luckier on the day of Sainte-Beuve's reception.
