Autograph letter to Hugo inviting him to contribute to a subscription opened by the radical Le Corsaire to enable a delegation of French workers, which the Government has refused to fund, to attend the Universal Exhibition in Vienna.

Marked r [répondu] in Hugo's hand, followed by the words "sent a draft on Paul Meurice for 100 frs".

Marc-Bayeux was a French playwright. He also mentions that he is the editor-in-chief of L'Avenir National.
