Autograph letter in which Paul Meurice apologizes for not having seen his correspondent, because of the rehearsal of a play. To be forgiven, he invites his correspondent to a dinner with Victor Hugo and him the day after.

Bought from Goodspeed's Bookshop on 24 August 1964 for $245, with four other letters from Hugo to anonymous correspondents, one letter of Juliette Drouet, and one letter of Alice Ménard-Dorian (VMH/5/4).
