Letter from Chousserie to Hugo

Scope and Content

Autograph letter to Hugo correcting his misunderstanding of a request which he has granted, but with conditions. Chousserie points out that he had no commercial intention in asking permission to have lithographed a few pieces of music as a background to those of Hugo's Odes et Ballades which he had learned: he simply wished to make a few private albums of which the first would have been offered to Hugo and the others given to friends.

Written at Le Mans.

Chousserie mentions that he is a cavalry officer.
