Administrative / Biographical History

The Scottish Conjurors' Association was founded in 1924  succeeding the Glasgow Society of Magicans. Membership was open to all interested in the art of magic. Activities included lectures, demonstrations and social events. There was a free reference library and club magazine, The Thistle. It held its meetings twice a month in Glasgow, Scotland. The first Scottish Magical Convention, Glasgow, 1938 was organised by the SCA . The Scottish Association of Magical Societies was founded in 1951 and the SCA became a member. The Scottish Conjurors' Association is still in existence.
