Miscellaneous Letters I

Scope and Content

Letter, written in the hand of an amanuensis [Joan Severn], to Mr Richmond [presumably Thomas Richmond junior, 1802-1874, portrait painter, but possibly his brother George Richmond, 1809-1896, portrait painter, with whom Ruskin was also acquainted] discussing the boat house at Ruskin's house, Brantwood in Coniston. He also instructs Mr Richmond about the furniture in the library and dining room, and comments on his mother's poor health.

Dated at Denmark Hill [London].
