Letter to David Croal Thomson [1855-1930, art dealer and author] criticising the dedication to Ruskin written in Thomson's The Life and Works of Thomas Bewick ...; and stating that Ruskin has no particular special interest in Bewick's work as an engraver, despite remarks he may have made during a lecture at Oxford, which were primarily attempts to get his students to engage with Bewick's work.
