Journal of John Seidenfaden and Christian and Abraham Albrecht, August - November 1805, describing their journey from Cape Town North to Great Namaqualand. Records the difficulties of the journey as well as the people they met on the way. Particulary mentions the hospitality of Cornelius Kok and his son Adam Kok and the Hottentot people. Includes description of Christian Albrecht's lone journey to the Great River to locate a site for the mission and his arrival at a place which he named 'Blyde Uitkomst' meaning 'happy deliverance'.
