Scope and Content

Groups include: Alice Stuckey memorial ward staff and patients; scouts in winter camp; boy scouts, 1919; tea party after committee meeting [c.1905]; refugees. Other people include: "Blackie and a little friend"; "Froggie" and [Jane] Turner; "little sister"; hospital biblewoman; [Gladys] Stickland and Nancy Edmanson (matron); Dr Lei and Dr [Edward] Stuckey; patient for casualty ward; [Charles] Longman and [Amy] Longman [nee Amy Guthrie]; Gladys Meech. Other events featured include: Christmas 1936 in the hospital; flooding 1939. Activities featured include: dinner time in the children's ward; basket-ball game; ambulance display; pole vault; high hurdles; scouts parade. Other places or buildings featured include: Hospital roof garden, main dressing-room, out-patients' entrance, church, front gate, and front courtyard; College clock-tower, entrance, quadrangle, north building, west tower, Viceroy's room, and chemistry laboratory; flooded streets including in British concession; main street; Anglo-Chinese Church interior; municipal building. Also includes: hospital book trolley; "traffic block" during flood; [Eric] Scarlett's grave. Some of the College prints taken by [Augustus] Cullen.
