Benjamin Keasberry, Mount Zion, Singapore - regrets that when Dr Lockhart came with power to dispose of the property trade depression had greatly reduced property values; Presbyterians had halved their rent payments. Defection of a leading convert; chapel at Bukit Timah put under care of a well educated convert while Ching Hwang returned to his wife and children whose house had been set on fire by 'the rebels'.
