- had received medicine, books, paper, pens and news of LMS missionaries including fate of Smith (Demerara) and successes in South Seas; no annual report sent for 1825 because of 5-month tour of southern islands in the Banda Sea; report on his voyage would follow when translated; baptisms of converts; 5 teachers sent out to other islands.

- about to set off for 3-month voyage; colleague at Buru had died; Amboina church prospering; more missionaries needed.
