Incoming correspondence from missionaries in the East Asia mission field (including Malaya, Singapore, China, Hong Kong) to the London Missionary Society Headquarters from 1950. These files also contain copies of some of the letters sent out by the LMS, which effectively makes the correspondence into an Incoming & Outgoing correspondence series. However, the files comprise primarily incoming letters from missionaries.

Scope and Content
Correspondence from the field is stored in alphabetical order by sender. This means that the letters from a particular missionary are filed together. There may be more than one file per missionary however, as files are either yearly, or only span a limited number of years. Before 1950 letters for North, central and South China are found in those separate divisions.
