includes letters from Rev J A Bethune Cook, English Presbyterian Mission, Devonshire Road, Singapore - William Young returned from Johore and living in chapel, preaching in Malay as before; EP Mission willing to take chapel over for rent of $10 a year, Cook acting with associate minister Rev A S McPhee; suggests LMS correspond directly with lawyers and with Young; subsequently takes possession of Mission Chapel, Prinsep Street on behalf of LMS; further proceedings; William Young signs agreement to quit upon payment of compensation, but will maintain Malay services pro tem with help from Presbyterians.
