EXAMINATION AND DEPOSITION: Margaret Holmes of No. 4 Summer Hill, Anne Hughes and Owen Evans, police constable, all in parish Holyhead, in the case v. Ellin Owen accused of stealing a dress, a hat and a bed sheet, property of M.H. Deponent M.H. says she took the accused into her house out of charity until she could get a position and, upon her departure, the items were missed. Deponent O.E. followed her to Bangor. The hat and sheet were found in the possession of a soldier in H.M. Regiment 85th and the accused was found at Garth Point wearing the stolen dress.
