EXAMINATION AND DEPOSITION: William Jones of Liverpool, cooper, Edward Owen and Robert Hughes, both police officers of Holyhead and William Rimmer, second mate of the Cassiopea in the case v. Charles Cobbe accused of stealing a blue singlet and a pair of shoes, value 4/6d., property of W.J. Deponent W.J. says he loaded his , safely lashed and locked, onto the Cassiopea at Liverpool, then took the train to Holyhead to meet the ship there. He found his chest had been moved, forced open and items of clothing were missing. Defendant cross-examines one witness in his own defence.

Imprisoned in Beaumaris House of Correction for three days.
