Administrative / Biographical History
Marc'Antonio de Dominis (1566-1624) was trained by Jesuits and became Archbishop of Spalatro. He became disillusioned by Rome and came to England in 1616, where he was regarded as a convert to Anglicanism, and became Dean of Windsor in 1617. Tiring of England, he applied to leave, but was eventually expelled in 1622. He returned to Rome and was seized by the Inquisition, and posthumously judged a heretic.
