Administrative / Biographical History

The Amalgamated Union of Upholsterers was formed in 1891. In 1947 it amalgamated with the National Amalgamated Furnishing Trades Association to form the National Union of Furniture Trade Operatives (NUFTO).

If you wish to visit the library you need to make an appointment. The Working Class Movement Library is open Tuesday-Friday 10.00am-5.00pm and every 3rd Saturday of the month 10.00am-4.00pm.
