Administrative / Biographical History

The Property Index was an annual publication aimed at lawyers, accountants, bankers, architects, valuators, house factors and investors giving information on property sales and land values in the Glasgow and West of Scotland area. The Index began in 1890 and continued to be published until 1959. It was originally published by  John C King ,  Publisher  , Bath Street, Glasgow but was then published by the Glasgow Evening News from 1932 and then by the Glasgow Herald from the early 1950s.
