Bundle of correspondence between Pontecorvo, the Right Honourable Lord Adrian, Professor George Edward Briggs and others concerning problems with the salary of the new Professorship and laboratory space for the Genetics Department

Scope and Content

Some letters are in draft manuscript form and the text has faded slightly making it difficult to read. In one of his letters to Lord Adrian, Pontecorvo states that if his conditions cannot be met for a private residence for his family and for adequate laboratory and research space for the Genetics Department then he will withdraw his acceptance of the Professorship at Cambridge.
