From Liverpool. Tooth will be surprised to discover that Jordan is in Liverpool. She has been very ill and the doctor recommended this place in preference to any other. Indeed, she is feeling better. She has met with some very kind friends [Methodists] here. She intends to visit Madeley and will therefore set off on Monday and should arrive there that evening or the morning after. Mr and Mrs Smith were to meet her at Shifnall, but she has discovered that she travels via Shrewsbury and to go to Shifnall would take her some miles out of her way. Jordan will therefore write to them and tell them to go straight to Madeley. It is however uncertain, as Mrs Smith seems a bad traveller. Perhaps Tooth could drop them a line also – Mr Smith is certainly very anxious to come.
