Scope and Content

From A. Claxton to [Mary] Tooth at Madeley. Mr Woodruff has called for a few moments and she just has enough time to say that she is very disappointed at having to cancel her visit to Madeley. Their maidservant's mother is close to death and the girl cannot therefore return home, which confines Claxton to the house as there is no-one to look after the children. Claxton hopes however to have the opportunity of visiting Madeley before long and will be pleased to see Tooth at the Missionary meeting on the 18th and 19th. Her love should be sent to Tooth's sister Ros [Rosamund].
