From [Birmingham]. Ludlow has for some time been anxious to hear from Tooth. Spiritual matters are discussed with particular reference to the temptations that have recently afflicted Ludlow.

Reference is made to the great economic depression and consequent distress that is presently prevailing in the country. Spiritual matters are discussed.

Her husband [William] has been laid up for a few weeks but is recovered and his soul ‘prospers’. The children are well. Ludlow hopes to be able to visit Tooth soon – she will leave the little ones with her sister.
