Scope and Content

From Forest House, [Leytonstone, Essex]. When he wrote yesterday he was unaware of the contents of his uncle's will [William Bosanquet - brother of Mary Fletcher]. Now he is in the happy position of being able to inform Fletcher that he has bequeathed to her the sum of £2,000.

The general intent of the will is to enable his sister-in-law [Eleanor, mother of Charles Bosanquet] to remain at Forest House for the remainder of her life and to adopt Charles's eldest brother [Samuel junior] as his uncle's heir to the Leyon [Leyton?] property to take possession after his sister-in-law's death. Various other bequests have been made to relatives, of which Fletcher's is the largest.

Charles's mother has had a fairly good night and is in reasonable health this morning.
