From [Chertsey - postmark]. While she is able, Gaussen wishes to write with her own hand, rather than using her granddaughter.

Spiritual matters are discussed.

Her health really does not get any better - she sometimes feels a little appetite but is able to digest very little. She continues to lose weight but retains her strength to a surprising degree.

She is able to move from her bedchamber to her parlour - two or three times a day.

Her granddaughter is very attentive and kind. Gaussen wishes that Fletcher had known her.
