Scope and Content

From [Hannah] Brookes to [Mary] Tooth. Reference is a made to a Mrs Crippin and an order for [packing] cases with unspecified contents. Reference is also made to a possible visit to Tooth by a Miss Godwin during next summer.

She has informed the Camen-Green friends about Tooth's wish to visit them and their response was enthusiastic. They ask that Tooth give them plenty of notice so that they can 'make it public' [a preaching appointment]. Brookes would wish that she could meet Tooth there or on the way.

Miscellaneous matters are discussed.

In a postscript she adds they have decided on a 'Wykin meeting' to be on that day on which there is no preacher planned 'because they wish me to them in case no preacher comes & will begin next Sunday week'. Will Tooth come? If she is afraid of the night-air she can stay at Bridgnorth. She should let Brookes know by Richard Owen if she is unable to attend.
