Administrative / Biographical History
Herold's Institute was based in Drummond Road, Bermondsey. In 1894 with financial assistance from the Leathersellers' Company, the Borough Polytechnic ran evening courses in Leather Manufacture at Herold's Institute. The Herold Institute Committee, under the control of the Borough Polytechnic, consisted chiefly of members of the leather trade.
