Administrative / Biographical History
The society was founded in 1888, with Henry Sidgwick as President, 'to stimulate interest in ethical questions and to afford facilities for their discussion'.
Open for consultation by holders of a Reader's Ticket valid for the Manuscripts Reading Room.
Found amongst the papers of Professor Richard Braithwaite, and presented by Professor Dorothy Emmet, 1988.
