The Merthyr Tydfil and District Business and Professional Women's Club was formed 1970 and was part of the National Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Membership was composed of women who were active in business or the professions. Each Club elected its own officers and executive committee, met two evenings a month and arranged its own programme of talks and study group discussions within the framework of the National Programme Theme
