Scope and Content

The Oxford Preservation Trust was founded in 1927; it was the result of several meetings organised by H A L Fisher, then Warden of New College, and Sir Michael Sadler, then Master of University College, together with various other like-minded individuals. The aim was to initiate a body to 'so guide the development of Oxford, as to preserve and increase the beauty of the City and its surrounding neighbourhood'.

The records were deposited in 2003 under Accession number 5109. A further deposit was received in 2017 under Accession number 6626. Catalogued by Linda Haynes, 2018
