Bassingbourn Parish Library was founded by Edward Nightingale Esq., of Kneesworth, in 1717, who provided it with furniture and donated books worth fifty pounds.
Conditions Governing Access
Open for consultation by holders of a Reader's Ticket valid for the Manuscripts Reading Room.
Transferred from the Department of Archaeology and Anthropology, 17 November 1970.
