Administrative / Biographical History
Ian Martin was born in Glasgow in 1942 . He was educated in Canada and Glasgow. He studied at the Scottish School of Physiotherapy between 1959-1963 , and became a State Registered Physiotherapist in 1964 . He held NHS hospital posts at Ruchill, Stobhill and the Institute of Neurological Sciences in Glasgow between 1964 and 1983, with limited periods spent at St Mary’s Hospital, Canada (1969) and the Middlesex Hospital, UK (1975-1976). Between 1979-1983 he was the Superintendent Physician at Ruchill Hospital. He has been in private practice in Helensburgh since 1983 .
