Letter from Edmund Dene Morel [(1873-1924), internationalist campaigner and journalist], thanking Scott for his letter and adding that typed copies will be forwarded to [Ramsay] MacDonald, and [Sir Charles] Trevelyan for wider distribution. Morel discusses political manoeuvres of [Edward] Grey, foreign secretary. Proposes a ‘Labour-Radical Alliance’ led by MacDonald; mentions an upcoming meeting. Criticises recent Times article by [Sir George Walter] Prothero [historian], presenting propaganda campaign to boost support for war amongst the working classes.
