Letter from C.P. Scott remarking on a speech by [David] Lloyd George, prime minister, and conveying preliminary information before Hobhouse writes up [Scott’s] interview [with Lloyd George]. Scott discusses Lloyd George’s approach to foreign policy, and claims he will fire William Robertson as Chief of the Imperial General Staff, replacing him with Henry Wilson; adds that John Charteris, and James Marshall-Cornwall have been removed as heads of the Intelligence Department. Notes a breakfast meeting with Lord Buckmaster [lord chancellor], the following Friday.
