This property was made over to John
Coghill, Sir Thomas' second son in
1661/2 (see 1D/54-55 above).
John Coghill's daughter Elizabeth
married John Knapp, and in 1691 the
property was assigned to him by his
father-in-law. The property descended to
his son Coghill Knapp, who had to
sell it to his creditors (including
the then Bishop of Gloucester), who in
turn sold it to Francis Annesley (VI) in
1739/40.
