EXAMINATION AND DEPOSITION: Jane Williams and Margaret Williams, both of Sarnfadog, parish Coedana, in the case v. Mary Jones, aged fifteen years, for stealing 20lbs of oatmeal, the property of Owen Williams. Deponent J.W. states she followed the accused coming from her masters house and questioned her as to what she had in a bundle under her arm. It was oatmeal packed up in a shift. The accused confessed to stealing the oatmeal and was to exchange it with John Jones for a duckling.
