EXAMINATION AND DEPOSITION: Elizabeth Jones, wife of William Jones of Waen y bêl, Hugh Owen of Clwch dernog, labourer, all of parish Llanddeusant, Richard Ellis, inspector of police, [parish Holyhead], and Margaret Jones, wife of Owen Jones of Ysgoldy, parish Llanfachraeth in the case v. Mary Thomas for stealing two calico shirts the property of W.J. and H.O. Deponent E.J. states she washed the two calico shirts and left them out on a hedge to dry later finding them missing. Deponent R.E. states that on searching O.J.'s house where the defendant lodged he found the two shirts.

Attached: Statement of Accused 'I never took anything from any one's hedge'.
