EXAMINATION AND DEPOSITION: George Yarward, [police constable], Hugh Williams and Owen Hughes all of parish Holyhead, in the case v. Henry Parry, for stealing timber, the property of Joseph Brown Rigby and Charles Rigby. Deponent G. J. states two lengths of timber were washed away by a storm from the Holyhead harbour Works. A while later he found some boys in a ditch covered with gorse. Deponent H.W. states he saw the accused take the boys with him from the beach, warning him of the consequences.

Attached: Statement of Accused:'I know nothing about the timber and was never on the seashore.'
