      Generally sound. Stains noticed at the front of the dress; black stains on the right of the pleating of the skirt.

Scope and Content

A purple/ cream/ blue pleated dress with purple attached headdress made out of silk crepe. The bodice of the dress is decorated with two twisted strands of purple and blue silk.

There are two strands of silk fabric on each side of the dress; blue on the left and purple on the right.

Included in the box is a note stating the dress was worn by Tamara Karsavina, and later by Alicia Markova in 'Mercure' in 1931.
