Scope and Content

Bronze round coin, illustrated on front and reverse. Front has a rectangle in the middle that reads 'WORLD'S COLUMBIAN EXPOSITION IN COMMEMORATION OF THE FOUR HUNDRETH ANNIVERSARY OF THE LANDING OF COLUMBUS MDCCCXCIII'. Below this in the rectangle is also 'GIRLS FRIENDLY SOCIETY'. The rectangle is surrounded by various images, such as a boat, a globe and two angels with trumpets. On the reverse is a male figure with a board besides him which reads 'CHRISTOPHER COLOMBUS OCT XII, MCCCCXCII'
