Scope and Content

Papers relating to the Department of Pure and Applied Physics including a memorandum to the Principal from Dr J.E. Geake reporting on the progress of the Applied Physics Unit (APU) in providing services for industrial firms which it was hoped would lead to more substantial collaboration with industry. The file also contains details of jobs undertaken by the APU, courses in electronics for a group of industrialists, requests for staff appointments and plans to procure an aeroplane for environmental research.
