Pupils at St. George's School, Church Walks, Llandudno

Scope and Content

The School was originally opened as St. George's National School in 1846, just in time for an inspection which reported that the only Master, at £21 a year, was a 25 year old former farmer whose knowledge of English was deficient. Children provided their own copy books and paid fees of a penny per week.
