Scope and Content

This mine has a plaque on it it which reads: 'This is a naval mine of the type used in the Second World War in defence of our coasts and is an offensive weapon in enemy waters. It is made available to the Shipwrecked Mariners' Society by the Admiralty for use as a collection box. It is placed here by the kind permission of First Leisure Corporation.'
