St. Mary's Church, Caerhun

Scope and Content

The photograph shows the late thirteenth century Church of St. Mary in Caerhun. The Nave and the North and South Walls are original. The roof was strengthened to carry the extra weight of slates when the old thatch was removed in 1850. The walls are of rubble and plastered internally and the floors are of slate slabs.
