The Holland family came to Conwy in the thirteenth century. The father of the family supported Henry V and his cousin, Robin Holland of Pennant Eglwysbach, supported Owain Glyndwr. Jeffrey Holland built most of the present house in 1760. Rev. Hywel Holland Edwards, brother in law of John Baulger, was the last of the family to live there. He died in 1875.
