Robert Coventry Hunter Greig (b 1909) gained an M.A. at Edinburgh, anda post as Assistant District Officer, Tanganyika, 1932. He was seconded asAssistant Secretary, Palestine, 1938 and was given a commission as lieutenantin the Palestine Volunteer Force, 1941. He was seconded to the ColonialOffice in 1948.
