Hoped to see JWW at the last election and was disappointed not to. Briefly discusses the election and who asked for his vote. Gives a list of all the places, with some brief descriptions, he visited on a recent journey through Europe as far south as Italy, and notes that 'none of them equal to old England with all its faults and all its radicals.' Gives his impressions of churches and religion on the continent, where 'dust and dirt entered every Catholic country while every Protestant place was as conspicuous for cleanliness, comfort and industry.'
