Brown oilcloth album containing 121 photographs of Bedford Physical Training College students participating in college life. The album belonged to Mary Kathleen Deveraux of Set XXII.
All of the images have captions describing scenes, activities and naming individuals. Several students from Set XXII are identified.
Scenes from College life include the following: students swimming in the Commercial Road Swimming Baths and Newnham Baths, Bedford, engaged in displays of Revived Greek Dance and folk dancing for Demonstration Day 1924 and 1926 respectively; group photograph of Set XXII; scenes from entertainments The Man with the Bowler Hat (Junior Play April 1924), The Romantic Age (April 1924) and the Seniors Play (1924); the cricket, hockey, lacrosse, netball and tennis teams; students seated in the medical room; scenes from the annual Folk Dance competition held at Lilford Hall, Northamptonshire at which the College competed (1924), Demonstration Day 1924, a 21st birthday party in the garden of 5 Dynevor Road; young children in the College gardens who were clinic patients.
