Report on the Inter-Allied Open Conference on the Wide Aspects of Physical Education

Scope and Content

The conference was held on 6-7 March 1942 and hosted by the British Medical Association in London. It was open to teachers of physical education, doctors and other interested parties and the purpose was to promote international cooperation and to exchange ideas as to the part played by physical education in the general scheme of national education in the United Kingdom and abroad.

The conference gave rise to the establishment of the Research Board for the Correlation of Medical Science and Physical Education.
