Typescript and manuscript notes on girls' physical education in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries (drawn from printed sources) and the teaching of physical education at Bedford Physical Training College in the first half of the twentieth-century (drawn from archive material). The notes include a typescript memoranda to the Bedford Old Students Committee from [Erica Burgon], a former student, setting out her ideas for the writing of a history of the College and suggesting that a sub-committee be formed to launch the project.
