Administrative / Biographical History

Anne Cunningham (later Smith) was born in Cardiff 1931, and brought up with her mother and father at 23 New Road, Rumney. On 1st July 1941 she was injured, with her mother Annie Cunningham - by the explosion of a parachute mine opposite the house and was subsequently treated at the Royal Infirmary, Cardiff and Brig-y-don Convalescent Home, Ogmore-by-Sea. She later attended Cardiff High School for girls and entered the Foreign Office until 1954 when she married. She died 10th June 2000.
